Nate Jackson gets hit by a pitch and steals home for the winning run

Did he really steal home, or was it a PB/WP? If it was a stolen base, that had to be tense!

He took off from third at full speed, the batter squared to bunt but couldn't because the pitch was low, catcher blocked the ball but couldn't get a handle on it, Jackson kept coming and scored. I was told it's a steal because you can't assume the out at the plate, I'm not sure the catcher would've been able to get him even if he had handled the ball cleanly, Jackson's very fast and had a great jump on the pitcher.

Yep, definitely a steal. That's crazy! We had a situation the other day where our batter trying to execute a squeeze bunt pulled his bat back on the pitch! Needless to say, the runner got in a rundown, but he ended up being safe at home.

Something wacky always seems to happen on a squeeze play. Funny thing was the guy at the plate had struck out earlier in the game fouling off the third strike on a bunt attempt. Even goofier was the fact that the kid was even at the plate at all ... opposing coach opted to pitch to him with runners on second and third with one out. Everybody in the park thought he'd be intentionally walked to load the bases.

Dswizzel,

Well pitched and defended by Bacon. Kenny Doran, coming off torn labrum, pitched four scoreless. That's over 9 without a run so far. Tim Sunderman came in to relieve and looked spent in the 7th. A bunch of pitched in the dirt. Then a bad call by the ump on a play at first loaded the bases. A clean base hit up the middle ended it.

Bacon's coach does more to cost them games than anyone. Changes the batting order every game, puts guys in to hit who can't bat their weight, hardly ever steals, doesn't pay atention to the action on the field with runners in scoring position, would sooner yell at them than commend them, tonight included. Has singled out 2-3 boys to yell at all of the time. Leaves pitchers in the games like he has no relief. Burkhart at Badin till he gave up 11 runs, then at Chaminade till he gave up 10. He's just a bad coach who shouldn't be out there. Most of the boys want him gone, they're not having fun. Bacon has one of their better teams this year and they could win without him. He even has them run sprints before the games.
