The Blue Devils and the Bulldogs suit up at KSU tomorrow. The best overall team in the area, Tallmadge, against a team with one of the top staffs and defenses in the area in Woodridge. Game of the Week, IMHO. I'll definitely be in attendance.

Going out on a limb here, but it's probably Jones for the Dawgs on the hill. Krusinski and Westren threw against mogadore, and Wilhite will probably start game 1 against aurora on saturday at woodridge. Offense is looking better for the dogs. Of course they played tallmadge, but they were hitting the ball better overall.

So what do you guys think, low-scoring affair or a hit parade?

Should be a great game.Tallmadge has never played well at KSU field.I believe Cochran throwing for Blue Devils.Woodridge has stronger hitters but both teams loaded with top summer ball players that have been tested and have been in many games like this match up.

They say quality coaches good for one win a year and this maybe the game as I believe which ever coach gets guys mentally preparred for this game will come out on top.

I predict tie game called on darkness.(5-5)

I could see a tie. Hopefully not though. Cochran's on the hill for tallmadge. He'll be a very good test for the dawgs. Is there any truth to Ryan Mace splitting open his finger?

Mace is a game time player...

I doubt a minor injury would keep him out of a game like this.

It is not his day to throw. He will throw one of the games this weekend at Summit lake.

If the DAWGS have it "screwed on tight" tongiht they will give Tallmadge all they want and more.

Should be a great game..

Yes,

Big game for Tallmadge. Now they have three quality wins under their belts, 2 against Stow and now 1 against Woodridge.

Mace never split open his finger. He's fine. Joe Cochran pitched one **** of a game. And I'll admit Nick Jones may have the best off speed I have seen in a long time.

Sorry BaseballRepresent, I didn't get on here to see your question about who would win this game. Looks like it was a good one. It is good to see Woodridge playing some quality teams. That will help them come playoff time. It appears that they just do not have the complete lineup (1 through 9) to compete with the better teams in the area. If memory serves me correctly, they have been shutout vs. Stow and Tallmadge, and scored 1 run vs. Walsh. Woodridge's pitching has kept them in these games, but perhaps their pitching staff lacks some depth as well. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing Woodridge at all. They are a very good program, and I feel their tough schedule will certainly benefit them come tournament time. However at this point, I'd have to say that we cannot argue that they are not quite in the same "league" (no pun intended), as some of the better D1 and D2 programs in the area.

Hey tap no problem at all. I agree with you. I'm biased for my boys over there because I like their core seniors since they all play the game hard and the right way and i think they'll have what it takes come tournie time to challenge for the title. Right now your absolutely right on their offense. That's the question mark right now. 1-5 can hit the ball, but the bottom part is struggling. Their staff is pretty deep though, and defensively their sound. They'll just need to iron out some offensive kinks and they should be good to go.
