Springboro is starting to take form today they beat Centerville 6-2 at 5/3rd field. If anything in my opinion the loss to Northmont will end up being the best thing that happend to Springboro this year thus teaching them a lesson. Any thoughts?

Springboro is indeed a force to be reckoned with. I've not seen Ghysels pitch but was thoroughly impressed with Hough. I don't think the Northmont loss really taught them anything... 2 very good teams playing a great game.
From what I've seen Springboro playes all out, all the time. I'm sure they just were better than the Centerville team today. I don't think they are the type of team to slack off. They are too well coached, with too much talent. I haven't seen their schedule, but I suspect the team that beats them next is going to have to bring their A game. Springboro is going to do well this season and on past the regular season.
I disagree with you, Tbolt. This Springboro team has incredible talent, but does need a swift kick now and then to keep them focused. Their focus level and discipline is not always where it needs to be and hopefully they get it dealt with so it does not bite them come tourney time again.

'Boro will be fine and sometimes it takes a loss to get your attention when everyone has been telling you how good your team is supposed to be. It would be a mistake for anyone to take them lighlty in the future.
Nobody is going to take them lightly. They're loaded and everyone knows it. THEY have to avoid taking someone lightly. Hopefully last year's tournament loss to Miamisburg stays fresh in their minds for the next couple months.

All I was saying was they did not appear to be dogging it against Northmont. I know it was a big game to both of them and they both played hard that game. As a fan, I'm sure you know when they are playing all out or not focused. I was thoroughly impressed with them. Outfield is flat out amazing. Every team needs a swift kick now and then. Springboro will be just fine. No worries.

I give my props to Northmont but Springboro didn't play their best game that day at all. They always play hard but sometimes not focused before the game that loss did teach them a lesson on how to stay focused leading up to games even non-league or crossover games.

Northmont played well against Boro. Springboro contributed to the loss with some defensive miscues and an administrative mistake. Give the Thunderbolts credit for playing tough…
With all the preseason publicity, Springboro has a target on their backs. It comes with the territory. The Panthers will see a lot of the opposition’s best pitchers and each adversary will be ready to give it their best shot. Beating Springboro can make the season for some schools.
Springboro has a very challenging schedule which is a positive. One hopes they will encounter quality opponents and learn to win close hard fought games. If you hope to advance in the state tournament you have to get “battle hardened” in order to win those close grind it out contests.
Springboro losing a couple of games helps them to keep things in perspective. The games are played on the field, not in the press.

I assume is referring to the out in the 6th due to not reentering the DH.

suprisingly there rlly isnt everyone is there 2 win not one person cares about the stats everyone wants to win and will do anything it takes to win. Good players but not big egomaniacs on Boro all grew up playing together so not rlly.

At the begging of the season the egos were big but after the Northmont loss the senior leadership kicked in with Hough and Kindel the leadership is great and the team is focused on making it as far as they can. No egos any more the dugout is always up and focused. Good leadership

I hope this is true. There is nothing better than a great player that shows what he has on the field and does it all with class! You don't need to brag if you show it on the field. I hope they continue to play as a team, and continue their winning streak. Go Boro!

Last night game was a great one Boro won 8-7. Great pitching, timely hitting and great defence on both side. Best of luck to Franklin and Springboro on the rest of the season.

No blackford didnt start... A sophomore started (pergrem) then dustin martin came in and after that macklin bray threw an inning of relief... one of the toughest games all year for the panthers, was definately hard fought
