Northmont is on an 8 game winning streak. They face the always tough Centerville Elks at Northmont's "The Yard" on Monday at 5:00 p.m. (weather permitting). Are the Thunderbolts for real this year? They have been convincing in their last 8 games outscoring their opponents 100-22.

Wow is all I can say.

Ian Creager did not have his good stuff with him Monday but battled for 7 innings. Centerville dominated with outstanding defense all game long. In the bottom of the 7th the Bolts were down 3-1. Shepherd flew out to CF for the 1st out. Kenny Federick walked, followed by a base hit by Ben Myers. Nussman hit a 2B scoring Federick. With Myers at third and Nussman at 2B, the Elks walked Newman to load the bases. Bryan Daniel, who has been hotter than Hades, came to the plate and popped out the the 3B man. Tolle comes to the plate with 2 outs, bases loaded and goes the opposite way to RF with a single scoring Myers and Nussman to win the game.

This team is showing me incredible fight, never-say-die attitude. They obviously believe it, and are making a true believer out of me.
