Anthony Raschilla-3rd baseman for Mcdonald,

Already has 2 Hmrs and is batting great this year...i dont know his exact batting avg..but hes doing really good... hes also a solid pitcher.

Agreed. The Gatta's and Baker can also hit.

Traveline and Sudon from Lowellville are also very good hitters.

Some of Sebring's players aren't too bad, they may be worth mentioning.

Jurica is without a doubt one of the top pitchers in the league. He is also a very good hitter and shortstop. I believe Allan is hitting over .440 .

Raschilla from McDonald is a very good well rounded player...I personally think the Gatta brothers make that team go but they have some nice talent there.

Gotta mention Maverick Chick from WR hit his second dinger against Waterloo yesterday and is batting .556 for the year...Matt Kalbfell who is hitting .519 and plays centerfield is their leader. Gabe Gaudett in his first year of varsity baseball is hitting .429 while playing shortstop, he had a 4 hit game against McDonald on tuesday.

Well I see your point, Coven can stroke the ball when he wants to and hes an average fielder and pitcher but i was jus throwin out the 2 names that stuck out for me atleast for honorable mention or 2nd team atleast. Not saying they are top players in the league though.

yes i agree that rachilla is one of the better players in the league. pitching wise he is tough. and he does have off speed (believe me i have a good angle) but he usually doesnt need it because either the kids dont hit his stuff or they hit it weak. These next couple weeks we'll see the offspeed because its comiing close to tourny time and tune up time as well.

remember fishvoc, Leetonia is a very poor defensive team. check on how many of those runs were UNearned if he had an above average defense he would be pitchin shutouts IMO. He is a great pitcher because of his arm angle. Raschilla throws harder but Gruszecki has TOUGH breaking pitches and his fastball is sneaky fast because it is tough for kids to pick up. His 3 quarter arm angle is the reasoning behind this.

well against lowellville leetonia had 3 errors in which there coach tried to send in the scores to the paper (even though they were the losing team) and put down 5 errors to make his pitcher look better. leetonia does make errors as does every team but people have to hit the ball for there to be errors in which lowellville hit the ball very well against them!

that's a bold statement saying that ferguson is Mineral Ridge's good player when they split with your blue devils and loseing the second game 10-9 in the bottom of the 7th..........So that team of BAD players must be pretty darn good i guess?

Raschilla is good, I gave him his props, probably the best all around player in the league. But as far as just pitching is concerned, he does not have good off speed, but like I said he has good results because of his velocity.
I saw Grudzecki give up a bunch of runs to WR last year, and I still think he is by far the best. He proved that with the summer he had in Class B. You put a defense behind him and he'd win every start...by the way Leetonia is running on a two man show, Selway and Grudzecki they should get mad props because they pretty much do everything.
FYI, Ferguson has to be one of the top 3 players in the upper tier of the ITCL...I know EP has some studs and Kibbey at Springfield, but that kid can flat out hit.

jason ferguson's brother, daniel, is a great baseball player. he'll probably be better than jason as a senior his freshman year and already throws as hard in 7th grade. if (thats a big if)he plays for ridge, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

He's always had his splitter, but he only throws it repeatedly if it's on. If you only saw him pitch one time, then you really can't go on that. You can't go on seeing ANYBODY once and judging their performance.

In response to KillerB's post...i cant really break it down into positions because there are a bunch of guys that could are great pitchers and position players. But top pitchers are Kibby, Biamonte, Carter, and Hill.

Fergueson from Ridge is a solid infielder who can hit the ball. Also, Rambo from Lisbon hits well along with Bovo from springfield from what i've read in the paper.

Only other position player i can think of from the games i've seen is EP's catcher, Soldo, who threw out 4 or 5 runners in just the few games that i've been to. Im not sure if he'll get any awards though because a lot of the time position players are picked on their hitting numbers alone

Kibby, Biamonte, and maybe Hill i can see being the top pitchers in the upper, but Carter, are you kidding me:wallbang: ...dont get me wrong the kid has his good days and has the potential but his attitude is horrible. It also doesnt help to tell your coach you dont care when all he was trying to do was help him by telling him to hit the corners. if i was a coach i would not put up with any attitude like that. but then again im not his coach.

Todd Kibby is only a junior and by far the best pitcher this league has seen, and Ron Bovo, as a freshman is one of the best hitters. Both of those kids are crazy!

the point is kibby is about 7-1
baiamonte is 7-1
and carter is around the same

so then it has to come down to ERA...baiamonte's is about 1.30
