Tim Meyers was hired as the new head coach at Copley. He has been the pitching coach for much of the past 5 years at Copley. He's a good guy and knows a lot about the game.

I sure hope he can fix the copley feeder system into high school...Oh thats right..one does not exist. Coach, currently you have parents in charge of the CAA system and coaches that are only building one team of kids for Freshman year..their kids...there are some pretty good kids on that team, however..there are kids that are better than some of them playing on other teams due to politics. I really hope you are impartial and truly look at all the talent at tryouts and have not fallen into the CAA belief <these are the best kids in copley>. your 8th grade summer team has I think 2 kids that dont live in the district and will not be playing for copley. Also there are kids that will be playing for private schools on that team as well. How does this help Copley High School baseball. They are building up a catcher from Green, so some of our copley kids that wanted to be catchers lost the chance to grow and develope into your future catchers. PLEASE PLEASE look at all the kids equally at tryouts and do not think that only the kids from the 08 CAA summer team are the cream of the crop, I think you will be surprised just how much talent you have playing on other teams and not playing this year due to the CAA politics. You should go out and look at these kids during their games from CAA and the other teams.
