Highest Team Match Totals

Now that the season is officially underway, what are some of the high match scores so far? I'm off at college now, so I really don't get too many updates other than the occasional website updates. CJ's opener of 2700 makes them look like a pretty good team right out of the gate. What has anyone else seen/thrown?

C-J is a good team. I don't believe they lost anybody from last year and they have a kid who won individual singles state title as a sophomore. I saw him bowl at the Regionals and he is really good. They bowled really well in the Baker format also. I don't know their individual names but they are a quality team.

Thanks. We have a 2-0 start and have a tri-match vs Carroll and Fenwick tomorrow. We have a LOT of quality bowlers. We carry 8 with us to varsity matches and we all average over 190...including Curtiss who averages 220 something.

*UPDATE* Official score of Cj vs Alter = Cj 2776, Alter 2145
2776 is the highest so far this season...followed by Lasalle at 2771. If anyone lives in or near Dayton...come to Poelking Wilmington Lanes to see CJ (2-0), Carroll (2-0), and Fenwick (not listed on gcl sports) compete in a tri match. It'll be a good match.

The Elder bowler that threw the 300 was Craig Sherrill, and he followed it up with a 202 for a great 502 series. Brauch on his team threw a 466 while Lasalle's Dickhaus threw a 459. It sounds like it was a great match.

Hey polarkid... is there a federal league matches for bowling this year? If so, is Boardman in that?

Fairfiled bowled a 3103 against Elder in mid-December. Elder rolled a 2854 that day and lost by 249 pins!

Jackson bowls most fed schools, excluding Fitch and Boardman. I think the main reason is that we've never bowled them before and the schedule was pretty much made already for this year. However next year bowling is supposed to become a Fed Sport, so we'll have to bowl Fitch and Boardman, which I'm not looking foward too, as both are great schools. Last year boardman came from behind to beat us at the New Years tourny at Akron, and I bowled next to Fitch at Midway, and they looked real good.

We shot 3142 a few weeks ago and are still undefeated (12-0) after a win over Stebbins today (they were undefeated).

This was a very good match. I bowled against Sherrill, and our team bowled well. Matt Dickhaus threw the 459, I had around a 420 and we had at least one other 400 I believe. It was a good match. We bowl them again today at Western and it should show to be another good matchup.

Two individuals from NCH have bowled pretty well. The problem is they are not very solid in the rest of the spots due to firsrt year of having a team.

Kyle Black has had a 2 game series of 547
Braden Ruter shot 299 yesterday with a 508 2 game series.
The team did shot 1034 singles game which was very strong for them.
