I beleive Fairfield will be at the top of the GMC next year and maybe make a run at state. They have two First team GMC players coming back, Scott Foster, and Tony Holtzapple, one which was an GMC player of the year, Foster. So they will be a good team next season hopefully.

Jackson will post a strong team with the return of all but one varsity member that was 2 steps away from states(i lose track of what their called). We are also getting a bowler who was a travel bowler for the past two years, so were looking pretty good. Don't no how far we'll go, but definatly farther then last year

The OHSAA sanctioned bowling back in late April or early May. As for the info about which schools offer bowling programs, I would check www.ohsaa.org, but there probably won't be anything up there.

Chaminade Julienne from Dayton will be tough this year. They finished 4th in the state in 2005 and 9th this past year. They have won the GCL North 3 years in a row and will return every starter this year. They have 5 guys who overage between 190-220 including Curtiss Rasnic Jr., the 2005 Ohio state singles champion and the bowler of the year in the GCL north in 2005,2006 (he finished 9th in singles in 2006). I think they will be as good as any team in the state, along with Centerville and Fairmont.

milford will be tough this year i heard they have some big improvements from last year, and they have a lot of good bowlers, just half of them play basketball

Milford will be goo this year. Ryan Fulton and John Benza are bowling this year. Both average above 200 and will bring excitment to the team. STRAIGHT TO STATE!!!!!!!!!!

Last year was the second year of bowling for east and west. They both improved quite a bit and had a lot more kids tryout. West was a little better, but both should again be better with more involvement. Remember that Lakota does not have a home bowling ally, east uses Mason Bowl and west uses fairfield. Milford, Fairfield, and Oak Hills should be good as they have had bowling ally's for many years in the community and the kids are raised bowling in youth leagues.

HS bowling has been a very sucessful grassroots effort for many years. Finally it is recognized by OHSAA as a letter sport. To continue to grow, it will be imperative that local bowling centers support these new schools in the form of free (or deeply-discounted) lane usage, available lanes at key times (right after school), and an available avenue to obtain quality equipment.

In return, these schools need to show appreciation to their neighboring centers for all the support the already have given. Volunteer for center events. Fundraisers. Make themselves visible during junior and adult child programs (wearing their team shirt) so these other young bowlers have something to look up to and strive for.

It's a win win situation for both parties involved, but it will continue to take concerted collaboration from both sides to keep HSB thriving.

I'll do one for the Stark County area:
1.Perry
2.Hoover
3.Jackson
4.GlenOak(If they end up having a team)
5.Massillon

It should be another good race here, with a lot of young teams with talent.

I bowl on Perry's versity team, and I think we have a really good shot after last years run to 4th in state. We lost two seniors, but the rest of the core has improved, and we look for a big season.

So GL to all teams out there,since they finally sanctioned it.

GlenOak officially reinstated their team this past week. Good news for the Eagles as they have had one of the better bowling teams in Stark County the past few years.

CJ should be number one on the list. We have four bowlers that average 195 and up, and than about 4 more (including myself) that average 185 and up. Look for us to make noise this year.

this is true... i was there when keith "da man" ahlborn bowled his unbelievable 300 it was the most beautiful and graceful thing i have ever witnessed in my young and pure life but for some reason it didn't even phase him he just bowed signed some autographs and left

this being said keith is on a mission this year and i doubt he will ever lose a game as long as he lives
