Here is my ultimate Lake Blue Streaks Football Playoff-Team Tourny

My rankings for tourny matchups are as follows:
1) Two Points for a Playoff Win
2) Half a point for each regular season win.
3) Tie breakers, coin toss.

The teams, points awarded, and some of their top players are listed below.

1) 1972 – 4pts - Mike Perko, Jeff Bourn
2) 1988 – 7pts - Harold Britt, Scott Vancamp, Pat O'Conner
3) 1990 – 5pts – Brian Collins, Matt Christopher, Finnucan
4) 1991 – 11pts - Matt Christopher, Crag Dues, Scott Tripp
5) 1993 – 10pts – Aaron Vanderkaay, Travis Cook, Jeff Howerbush
6) 1994 – 4pts – Jon Kurtz, Chris Aspega, Jimmy Braccio
7) 1996 – 4pts - Chad Wise, Jason Cunningham, Dave Tesniarz
8) 1997 – 10pts - Darren Dutton, Bryan Williams, Adam Howard
9) 1998 – 4.5pts – Aaron Baker, Dave Park, Jesse Burghardt
10) 1999 – 9.5pts - Jesse Burghardt, Steve Graef, Nate Malard
11) 2002 – 3.5pts - Josh Sommers, David Miller, Dan Beachy
12) 2003 – 2 pts - Jordan Howard, John Rutan, Luke Leppla
13) 2004 – 8pts – John Rutan, Adam Campbell, AJ Workman

All teams have everyone healthy that played most of the season. Ex, 1997 would have Kline and 1994 would have Braccio. The only exception is 2003 would not have Beachy due to him not playing during the season (I know he played a quarter against Wooster, but the team was mainly without him.) The state championship teams, 91, 93, and 97, get a first round bye.

Here is the first round.

1. Lake 1991 vs. #8,9 winner.
8. Lake 1998 vs. 9. Lake 1994

4. Lake 1999 vs. 13. Lake 2003
5. Lake 2004 vs. 12. Lake 2002

2. Lake 1993 vs #7,10 winner
7 Lake 1990 vs. 10. Lake 1996

3. Lake 1997 vs # 6,11 winner
6. Lake 1988 vs. 11. Lake 1972

Voting is from 10/18 until 10/27 for the first round. You can just pick which team you think would win and if you want, tell us why! Please stick to the first round for now.

98 vs 94: really close matchup if u add a healthy Jim Braccio into the mix, however, i still think the 98 team would come away with this one. Park and Baker were sick on both sides of the ball, and having a Jr Class that contains guys like Greaf, Burghardt, Malard, and Malitich doesn't hurt either. Close game, but 98 pulls it out in the end

99 vs 03: 99 no doubt, for the Jr's listed above

04 vs 02: 04 no doubt

90 vs 96: Another close match, but I have to give the edge to 96, just look at the stats: All State players, 2 for 96, 0 for 90; 25+ catch, 96-Jason Cunningham, 90-no one; 1000 yard passer, 96-Joe Kurtz, 90-no one; 1000 yard rusher, 96-Chad Wise, 90-no one.......the offences arn't even comparible.

finally, 88 vs 72: ummmm, the stats look even but i don't know anything about either team, so ummmmm, 88 cause i don't know any better.

I will postpone this to see if Lake 06 can make the playoffs. First round voting will then take place the first week after the season.
