Final Comments:
I feel our team’s strengths are we have multiple players back this year who lettered last year and have varsity game experience. Also, our players have shown so far that they are willing to put the team before themselves. They have accepted their roles and are trying to execute those roles to the best of their abilities. The league is tough year in and year out and I believe it we be solid from top to bottom again this year. Like in years past, we expect to compete to the best of our abilities and put ourselves in a position to win each game and compete for a WCAL Championship. We look to keep building off the recent successes we have had here at Hillsdale (6 Straight Years in the Playoffs and Won At least One Playoff Game for 5 Straight Years- I believe these both are Ashland Area records). Our senior class from last year was the second class in school history to make the state playoffs and win at least one state playoff game each year of their high school career. We expect our players to continue to put in the hard work in the classroom, weight room, and during practices so we can go out and compete on Friday nights in the Fall and put ourselves in the position to win each game we play in. We expect our football program to continue to represent our school and community in a positive way.
