Cloverleaf (26-44) (19-11) (45-56) (0-1)
Norton (7-21) (5-7) (12-28) (0-0)
Barberton (3-39) (13-5) (16-44) (0-0)

As much as some people like to tease the Barberton fans, the league is really going to miss them. They were the best team in bringing in computer points for the rest of the league.

The Suburban League had:
  • 25 Playoff Qualifiers
  • 13-12 in the first round of the playoffs
  • 8-5 in the second round
  • 3-5 in the regional finals
  • 0-3 in the state semifinals

That information is alot harder to find but I'll start looking for it.

Personally, I really don't want Barberton to leave the Suburban League. I think they are a good fit and add alot to the league in all sports and they fit the league geographically.

True, but I'm not sure Barberton fans would take being the league's favorite "harbin cow" as a compliment ;)

The most impressive stats to me is that the SL won 63.7% (146-83) of it's OOC games. I'm guessing most leagues would hover around the break even point, lucky to break 50%.

Add to that, over the same 10 year period, the SL averages 2.5 playoff teams per year, and that's say a lot about the league.

Barberton won their non-league games because they dropped usually solid teams and replaced them with horrible teams for the most part during that span, such as Kenmore, East and Firestone when they were not good at all.

In 2007 and 2008 our non league games where Massillon Perry, Medina, and Kent Roosevelt. In 2009 our N.L.G. were Cuyahoga Falls, Canton Timken, and Kent Roosevelt. 2010 our N.L.G. were Cuyahoga Falls, Canton Timken, and Akron East. The only years we played an all city series non-league games that I can find, was in 05 and 06.

Nordonia is better in virtually every sport then Barberton is on a consistent basis. In some of the less popular boys sports and many girls sports, Barberton might as well not have fielded a team.
