2024 MCK BULLDOGS

I predict more comments will be made here by those who are not fans of Canton and/or the MCK Bulldogs then those who are fans.

Some of those people who are not fans can't stop swinging from the MCK jockstrap.

Most the MCK fans just conversate amongst themselves in private DMs to avoid the usual suspects that just come to spew their negativity and hate.

Roster seems loaded with McClelland, Quincy, Johnson, Hill, Garner etc. Definitely the odds on favorite to win the Federal League.

Sorry Guys... It's been since last season since I even thought of football. A lot going on in the family. How are my pups looking this year. I'm hearing good things but someone let me know

Yay, Go dawgs. I predict a big year for y'all.

Congratulations PUPS on 26-19 win over Warren Harding tonight... a very workman-like performance...flashes of brilliance... a lot of ugliness...lots of areas to improve... large moments of boredom mixed in with pure efforts of delight... coaches played the game close to the vest.

Players who stood out for me:

#9, LB, Dante McClellan - just a Beast... quick, and spectacular.
#12, RB, Nino Hill - a graceful and powerful runner.
#7, QB, Kam Montgomery - has the arm we all wish we had.

PUPS travel to AVON next Friday... a ten minute drive for me... I will be in the stands to cheer them on... Go PUPS! sam

Hey Sam, what do you mean played it close to the vest?

Hi Mck, Just my opinion, I felt the PUPS played their hearts out! And, it was the first game in a long high school season. And, Warren was a spirited opponent who gave our team a run for their money. The game was undecided until the last minute which kept us on the edge of our seats.

Having said all that, the play calling was bland and uninspiring. Run up the middle, and then more run up the middle. Just hardnosed football, which as a fans made us bored out of our minds.

Our QB has an exceptional arm, but our passing attack was used sparingly. It was just "three yards and a cloud of dust".

Nino Hill (#12) RB, must be commended. He made several eight yard runs (?) where he carried half of the Warren defense on his back. Hill was just amazing. But, he would line up as the single back behind the QB, and then it was Hill up the middle to the right followed by Hill to the left. No jet sweeps, nothing fancy, just hard running.

At some point, as a fan, I hope the PUPS break out into a fantastic display of offensive performance. But, that night was not apparent on Thursday.

I guess it is better to win "ugly", than to lose. Also, there were far too many penalties which caused the game to last three hours. Kickoff was at seven, and the game ended at ten.

We won, and I am happy with that. Now, it is on to AVON, which is in my backyard. I will be there cheering the PUPS to avenge last year's loss. Go PUPS! sam

Ok. Thanks a lot. I hope Mckinley does a better job with playcalling or we could be in for a very long season.
