Tryouts for the 2016 volleyball team will occur on March 7th and 8th in the North gym.

Coming off 2x Regional finalist seasons, the Highlanders are going to have an uphill battle this year. Losing their All-State outside hitter, all region Middle and starting setter, among others, will prove to be a tough challenge.

Mid season update. The Varsity Highlanders are 7-5 (5-1 GMC). Senior Middle Robbie Ramsey ahs been sidelined since the beginning of April with a sprained ankle, but the Highlanders have been fighting through the struggle. Multiple changes in the lineup has finally led to a lineup to like for the coaching staff, where the Highlanders have won 5 of their last 7 matches. Oak Hills looks to grab the #4 seed in the south with its consistent play, but Mason and LaSalle will be seeking that same seed. See statistics below.

The Junior varsity squad has started with a 9-5 (6-0 GMC) record and has yet to drop a match in the GMC, if the JV Highlanders can finish off Sycamore and Princeton in these next two weeks, they will have completed a sweep of the GMC.

Varsity leaders:

Keith Kaiser - 63 kills (6th GMC), 37 aces (1st GMC), 71 assists (8th GMC), 41 digs (6th GMC)
Alex Anderson - 155 assists (3rd GMC), 13 aces, 30 digs
Anthony Papathanas - 91 digs (2nd GMC)
Owen Apparius - 60 kills (8th GMC), 30 digs
Tom Cecil - 30 kills, 25 blocks (5th GMC)
Ryan Bussard - 35 kills, 12 aces
 
The season for the volleyball boys has come to an end with a loss in the Regional Semi-finals against Mason. The Varsity Highlanders finished 14-12 (7-1 GMC). A special thanks to all the seniors and congrats on the accomplishments!

Senior Anthony Papathanas and Junior Keith Kaiser received Regional honors on their performance in the year. Anthony - 1st Team and Keith - Honorable Mention

The Junior Varsity completed their season at a mark of 15-7 (8-0 GMC) finishing as the GMC champions! Congrats to them!
