After this an inexperienced offense put up 7 points against Boro, the Comets have put together back to back wins. The penalties against GE were excessive and it hasn't always been perfect, but Ws are never a bad thing. I'd consider West the favorite (on paper) this week entering league play but I expect a close game. Hopefully this weekend we'll have better weather. :thumb:

After the 30-13 loss to West it is officially a rebuilding year for the Comets.
It looks like a lot of young players will be getting GMC experience this season.
I don't know the situation with the Boro transfer being prepped as the starter until right before the opener, but you have to wonder what could have been. Or what Senior qb Drew Matula could have done minus the stress fractures.
Anyways, the Comets will get better this season. You can't rule out a 6-4 record with obvious losses to Colerain and the fast Sycamore offense. The Comet coaching staff will coach the young players up. The future is bright for the Comets.
