Mohawk extended its lead to 12-0 with 7:57 left in the third when fullback Chad Sowers scored on a six-yard run. The two point conversion failed. Carey had one final chance to pull out a win, getting the ball on their own 25 yard line with two minutes left. However, the Mohawk defense held and the Warriors came away with the hard-fought win. Statistically, Carey had 200 yards rushing. Clinger had 83 yards on 22 carries. Quarterback Drew Walter had 66 yards on 15 carries. The Blue Devils, who use a wishbone offense, only had 7 yards passing. Mohawk and its wing-t attack finished with 162 yards rushing.
