Newark Catholic defeats Dayton Colonel White 37-6

The setting was great at the University of Dayton and the Greenwave from Newark took it to a Colonel White team that was completely overmatched.

Newark Catholic would score 50 seconds into the game as SR quarterback found a wide open Scotty Lake for a 32 yard TD pass, and George Biddle would make the first of 5 extra points giving the Greenwave a quick 7-0 lead.

Kyle "The Show" Williamson would give the Greenwave a 13 point lead with a 1 yard TD run, and the extra point made it 14-0 with 8:41 left in the first.

The Greenwave would score a third TD late in the first when Dolan would make a sweet run for 9 yards, and after the kick it was 21-0 with 1:43 in the opening period.

Newark Catholic would give most of the starters the rest of the game off as the coaching staff showed class by not running the score up.

Newark Catholic's defense would shutdown Colonel White the whole night giving up a touchdown on a blocked punt with 6:54 left in the 3rd. A two point conversion would not be good leaving the home team with 6 points.

The other 2 Green wave TD's would come in the 2nd quarter. The 1st one was on another Dolan to Lake TD pass with 9:49 left and the last score came when Dolan found tightend Josh Kiser on a 12 yard pass with 5:59 left in the half.

Newark Catholic's defense would get into the scoring act with a safety when Stephen Wagner would pounce on J. Brown deep in the endzone, with :57 seconds left in the first half.
