Celina defeats Greenville 37-14

In a tight first half, Celina led by three points. The difference was a 40 yard field goal by Matt Zimmerman, the 235 lb SR had distance to spare on the long kick.

Other highlights...on each teams first drive there was a fumble, for Celina it was starting QB Nick Dysert and fumbling for Greenville was FB-Jarrod Marshal.

Scoring for Celina was RB Derrick Kuhn on a very nice 76 yard run. Running Back Curtis Mosler scored on runs of 3, 6, and 73 yards. Tyler Vanderhorst also scored for Celina on a 20 yard pass, which was on a great call by the coaching staff.

Greenville scores came from Jeremy Bailey on a 56 yard catch and a 25 yard interception by Kyle Cronwell.

What I took from this game.
Greenville - JR QB P.J. Terrill got help from only one player, big tight end Ryan Winner. The line did not run block at all and they did not make a habit of pass blocking very much either. Receivers made a habit of droping balls that hit them in the chest. On defense, reserve lineman Jon Chatwood (345 lbs) played as good as any starting D-lineman that started. Linebackers did not play well at all, which only added to the fact Greenville did not tackle anyone most of the night. Overall team speed for Greenville was slow. The play calling was difficult to figure out what the coaching staff was trying to do. Greenville has one weapon on offense and that is the big tightend Ryan Winner.

Celina - Great kicking game, Zimmerman looks like 45-47 yard range. Running backs Mosler and Kuhn both seemed a step faster then anyone Greenville's defense and both were hard to bring down. QB Nick Dysert overcame a weak passing performance in the first half to show great poise and touch in the second half. He also runs the option well, even if he is a step slow. The coaching staff made one great call after another on offense, this team could be a playoff contender when all is said and done.
