MASSILLON—The Massillon Tigers have sent a message to the undefeated high school from the east.

They will meet you anywhere, anyplace, and at anytime.

The defending Division I state football finalists improved their record to 5-4 with a 65-6 clubbing of a spirited Cincinnati Western Hills team that fell to 3-6 on the year.

Massillon was led by sophomore sensation Justin Turner, who rushed for 150 yards and two touchdowns on runs of two yards and 58 yards in the game. Turner’s 150 yards were his second highest, dating back to 168 he recorded in a freshman contest against Akron Buchtel.

Quarterback Bobby Huth tossed four touchdown passes, two of those to Brendon Baker and one each to Tommy Leonard and Giorgio Jackson.

Massillon added a defensive score when Jeff Combs intercepted a pass by quarterback Orlando Spikes and returned it 85 yards for a score.

Despite being overmatched, Cincinnati Western Hills mentor Calvin Johnson praised his team for their spirit and fight after the game.

“We showed some heart out there tonight despite of the final score and we are going to continue to work hard and get better,” Johnson said. “Massillon is a very good team and tonight’s game is the beginning of something special for this team going into the offseason.”

The Tigers message to Canton McKinley is now clear. And they will meet the Bulldogs anywhere, anyplace, anytime.
